Hi. I've been sewing since I was eight and have done some contract sewing at home. It really just depends on what it is that you plan on sewing. If you'll be sewing light-weight cotton-type fabrics then a home sewing machine will do. Truthfully, you get what you pay for. Your best bet is to find a better quality used machine. I've had one of the $100 Walmart Brother machines--it's not even worth the price to have it cleaned once a year. Look on http://www.Craigslist.org fleamarkets or the want ads in your local newspaper. If it's heavier type things you plan on sewing then you'll need a heavier-duty industrial machine. Juki is the best, but they don't come cheap. Again, look for a used machine.

ok, so I recently lost 60+ lbs and cut my size in half on jeans (now wearing about an 8). Found out that I have a wedding this Saturday, and I have NOTHING to wear. Show me some dresses that may fit me (I'm 5'8 and pant size 8, top size L-busty). I want to show off my new figure but I am stumped as to what will look good. PS its supposed to snow here on Sat! But all are very good options. The Reebok Sport III is very similar to one that I have and I like it quite a bit. After careful looking I found the foot pedal you are looking for! Ebay.com has a brand new one for $85 but it's not a Pfaff brand, so that could pose as a problem. Another company that has one for a few dollars more but the pedal goes with the brand and model is at Sewingmachineplus.com for $89. I hope I have helped you. Hey, try this out. Buy a remanufactured Ryobi 18 inch for less than $130. Not as good as an Echo, but better than most cheap saws at this price level. Ryobi and RedMax make identical 18 in. saws Iheard. And the Ryobi is recommended by most arborists for tree limbing.
