This is all based upon you own personal opinion.
If you are looking for a product that can make calls or take pictures, you would like the iphone better. But, if you want a product that is small and thin, easy to carry around, and also has an online ebook store all on a bigger screen, you would like the ipad better. Both are good at surfing the internet, but the ipad is really made for that.
Both have their pros and cons, it all depends on what you are looking for.
