Right now the two prepaid companies are AT&T go phone, Verizon, and Virgin Mobile. All three offer phone starting at $30 and you can choose the plan that is right for you mom. Pay as you go, monthly plans, and even $50-60 unlimited plans are available.
Emerson has one that fits that discreption. It has the DVD and VCR build it. Keep in mind with these models that if one part goes out you may be looking at replacing the whole tv. Toshiba has got a great all in one combo as well for around $400 while Coby comes in the least expensive at $200. You can buy all three from Target either in store or online and get site to store discounted shipping if they do not have one in stock locally.
I thought for sure the blue rays would fizzle out like the beta boxes but they are going strong. If you purchase a blue ray on Amazon.com they will give you free shipping. The Philips DBP7200 Blue-Ray 1080p Disc Player is the best deal I could find for you. It's the only way to really get the full impact of disc play on your wide screen HDTV. Philips BDP7200 is a second-generation player ready to deliver top video and audio performance to your home-theater system.
