I love the idea of this room. Now I hope I find some great stuff for you too. I am starting out with some candles. I found some really cute candles with Marilyn on them. These come in different sizes, colors and will look great with the Marilyn Monroe room. They are all under $15.00.

There are also tiles that have been made into magnets or into large pictures in honor of Marilyn. These are wonderful as works of arts on your wall. I love these because you just don't see them everywhere! Again, these are under $15.00.

How about a Marilyn Monroe light switch plate? There are several styles of these too. You can find the perfect one for your room too.

There is also the vinyl pictures, mostly in black and white, that go on your wall. These are great reminders of Marilyn Monroe.

The guitar is such a great instrument to learn! So many types of music can be created and enjoyed through the guitar-from Rock to Country to Blue and Contemporary! A few of Nick Jr.'s shows have Mega Bloks that relate. Wonder Pets and Dora and Diego have the most items available.

Wonder Pets has a normal set of bloks, a schoolhouse, and a boat set. All sets come with Linny, Tuck, and Ming Ming. Dora the Explorer has a very nice buildable house set with over 45 pieces and Diego's rescue penguin set.

Toys R'Us and Amazon have the best deals on these items.

Kim Kardashian, the diva herself, is finally releasing her own perfume line. I am sure it will be great and I can not get ready to smell it. It is set to be released around February 2010. They have not yet set a particular date, but it is to debut in February. It will simply be called Kim Kardashian. Sephora will be doing a full launch of the product. It is said to include these scents:

Jasmine
Tuberose
Gardenia over a base of tonka bean and sandalwood

This should be a nice sweet scent, but not too overpowerful. It is set to cost $16.00 for a .33 oz rollerball and $65.00 for a 3.4 oz eua de parfum spray. Be sure to keep a close eye out on http://www.sephora.com for their special launch of the Kim Kardashian perfume.

I have a one year old and a three year old. They both love all different mucial instruments. My oldest son has the Orchestra set by Edushape, he loves the music, and I love the educational aspect of developing his motor skills. My second son has the Infantino Baby Beach Band, it is really cute, and all of the pieces are soft so he can chew on them and carry them around safely.

In a little different direction, as a mom I also recommend the Chicco Music Table. My kids get all the enjoyment of playing music with easy cleanup because each of the different instruments are on one table.

I think a few quality toys that will capture baby's mind are batter than piles of plastic things that seem to loose baby's interest rapidly. Toys made of natural materials, such as wood, cotton, and wool help develop baby's tactile sense. Toys with faces encourage play "communication," which helps baby develop empathy and their own expressive skill. Pull-along toys encourage baby's locomotion.

You don't need to spend a lot in order to get some awesome toys that your baby will bond with and might even stick around for grandchildren. I believe the saying "less is more" definitely applies to toys. Have you ever been to a friends house with kids who's house is crammed full of tons of junky toys? Also, less toys means less clean up for mom, and less on it's way to the landfill!

I really enjoy sewing too, and this machine is a great one. After seeing it on Project Runway I would love to have one for myself. I have a one year old and his favorite thing to do is push things (chairs, his highchair, ect). I remember my 2 year old going through this stage, so it's likely to happen to your son too! :) He loves his push toys now!
There are a lot of pushing toys out there, that convert to a riding toy when they get older. Some even have secret compartments where they can hide stuff (food, toys, the remote control..) That is fun for them too!

We have the Mickey Plan Ride on Toy and it is a huge hit!!! Dont worry, the propellors are soft and will not hurt him.

Yes this is true I have a Paypal debit card and its a Mastercard. In order to get the paypal debit you have be a verified paypal user, meaning you have your bank account set up with your account. You can even get cash back when you use your paypal debit. I like this better so that I won't have to wait till my money is transferred to my bank account and I can just let it stay where its at. The paypal debit does not have any fees which is another good point.

Baby swings are a must for babies! My son loved his baby swing and it was very soothing for him. He would fall asleep in it or it would calm him down when he was upset.
