I have a 2 year old so trust me I feel your pain. Best Buy carries a product called Dynex, now this I have used on my flat screen products and it has gotten my screen looking almost new. Once you get the screen clean a screen protector like one from Nushield.com their light canceling films that they create work the same way as noise canceling headphones. So give it a try and don't worry if you don't like it they offer 100% money back gurantee. I hope this helps. Come back to IMshopping if you need anymore help.

I use a screen protector from xo skins. It hides finger prints and reduces smudges while protecting the screen from scratches and the destructive habbits of my kids. The XO Skins came with a application spray is soap and water I think. I always just refill it with water and add a drop of soap. Then I use that spray with a paper towell to wipe it down.
