Who makes the best television (RCA, LG, Sony, etc.)?

I really love the new Sony HDTV models. Each have great features, and have a variety of sizes to suit the size of the room that you will be watching tv. I've written a couple of articles about the Sony HDTV's and have found that they range in size. But also Sony is a brand name that you can trust and it's been around forever.
The prices range according to the size you buy, and remember you are paying for the newest technology on the market today, so yes it can be pricey.  Right now during the holiday season they are on sale everywhere and probably will be until after the Christmas holiday.

I personally own a Sony TV, it's an older model but it is still as great as the day I got it. I have not have one moment of trouble with it at all. They have a great warrranty, and they guarantee their products. So you are protected in that way. The next television I buy will be a Sony because I have not had to replace anything on it. I beleive the quality is one of the best.
If you decide to buy a Sony, I really think you will be please with everything about it.

Pioneer Elite its not even close.

Samsung is the best if you're looking for better than life colors in LCD or LED or Plasma.
Sony is very good. Colors are more 'real world' like.
Toshiba and LG are both decent but only in LCD's.
Philips is my cheap brand of choice. I'd personally only but this television in my kids room or the garage.
RCA and Sharp are trashy, stay away!!!

Samsung is at the top of the class.  Sony is also a very good product, but you are going to pay for the name.  LG used to be good, but their products have lacked a little quality over the past couple of years.  Toshiba makes the best TV for the money.  If you purchase from one of the Top 5 lines you probablly will not see any difference in picture quality, and you will be buying a great HDTV no matter which one you purchase.
