I really like going on line and checking out Target's toys selection. You can easily find them by age grouping and gender! So click on toys then age appropriate.  I also like checking out Dollar General for inexpensive toys and books.  You can also pick up playdo and coloring books. They really have quite the selection and name brands like Thomas the train, Dora the Explorer & Fisher Price.

My toddler  really loves the crayola coloring pens that can only be used on certain paper, so you won't have to worry about ruining your furniture. These are also a great thing to keep on hand in the car and in the restaraunt. You can get the crayola books and pens at Target & Walmart.

Loves putting puzzles together and since he is about 2, I would get the hard board ones until he gets the hang of them.

I have found many inexpensive books for her to just pretend to read at the Dollar General. The poingo is very cool item that I'm thinking of getting her.  They just point the pen and the book reads to them.

If you have some space or don't mind some clutter the pop up tents are a lot of fun for her to pretend to be her house or whatever. They easily are up within seconds!

The legos are always a big hit and she loves building her castles and playing pirate! I hope this has helped!
