Hmmm, this is actually sort of a difficult question to answer. It really depends on your preference and also depends on what mobile provider you have. I'll try to answer generically so that you can make a decision based off the facts/suggestsions I provide you. First and foremost there a lot of cell phones out there now. The technology we have in cell phones is just amazing now. We have touch screens, slide out keyboards, a combination of both, flip phones, and sliders. Anyways for texting I would either recommend a touch screen phone with a virtual QWERTY keyboard or a phone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard. The QWERTY keyboard is just your everyday computer keyboard; it's named as such because of the top left row of words "Q" "W" "E" "R" "T" "Y". Anyways there's disadvantages and advantages to each of the phone types. A virtual keyboard is nice because then the phone isn't as bulky or heavy. It's nice and slim however the keyboard can be hard to get used to at first. Since the keyboard is completely virtual you have to press the buttons on the touch screen and sometimes that can lead you to pressing the wrong button. Most of phones have some sort of way to help combat this however, like having bigger spacing between the letters or a stylus to help you type. Most have like a touch vibration ensuring that you hit a key instead of just thinking you did. Slide out QWERTY keyboards on the otherhand are more useful because it's a lot easier to hit the right button. However since a lot of companies try to make their phones compact the slide out keyboard tends to not have a lot of space between keys, making it hard to press just one button. However there is one phone that I particulary like and I'm considering getting the phone for my next upgrade. It's the Samsung Impression by AT&T . It has a touchscreen surface and sizable slideout QWERTY keyboard. The buttons are spaced apart nice and evenly so that it's easy to text. One thing to keep in mind however is that these phones can get pretty pricey. Also if you have any more questions feel free to ask. I work in retail so I'm pretty knowledgable about cell phones.
