which is the best brand for microwave ovens?

The are many brands of microwaves: Whirlpool, Sharp, Panasonic, Kenmore, GE...The choice is yours, but I do see a lot of GEs and Whirlpools in people's homes.
I recommend the Kenmore .7 Cubic Feet Counter Top Microwave. Kenmore microwaves are very common as well, and this microwave is very affordable at $59.00. It has six quick touch cooking categories with auto frost (meat, poultry, fish) and multi stage cooking. Microwave features child lock and add-a-minute.
