You will need a DVD player or HD DVD or Blu-ray disc player, then you need the right tv. A wide screen TV works well because most DVD movies come in wide screen format. While the visual element is important so is the sound quality, so for theater quality audio you will need more than the TV speakers. So look for a complete surround sound sytem.
