Where (preferable online) can I buy Sims 2 (or Sims 3) for computer CD ROM? I need Sims 2 (or 3) for my computer but my computer is a CD ROM and most Sims games run on DVD ROM these days.

You're in luck! Both Sims 2 and Sims 3 comes in CD-ROM mode. Also, some of the expansion packs do as well.
You may want to look into running the DVD ROMs at some point because support fothe DVD ROMS will start to fade as time goes on.
