That is really a personal decision that you will have to decide on! What is good for one person may not be for another! Also the size and design of your yard has to be a factor as well! Some people like feeders close to windows so that they can watch the birds eating. Other people like it pretty far from the house to keep the mess of droppings and such away from the main house!
