There are a few web cams on the market that are perfect for simply plugging in and working. As long as your laptop has the 2.0 USB speed port installed on the Mac you can chose any of these excellent plug and play cameras!
The best choice is the Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac for image quality. (amazon)
For a sharp pic, try the Luxury Logitech QuickCam Ultra-fixed focus. (PacificGeek)
If you don't have a microphone on the tower, try the Blue Microphones EYEBALL-USB Cam and Microphone. (amazon)
The best overall choice is the HP UVC Webcam and its not too expensive! (amazon)
Finally, the best bargain, is the Microsoft Live!- this one has no microphone, and it seems more for a desktop, but its sharp image and adjustable focus ring make the low cost option worth it!
