My first preference use to be http://www.Priceline.com but now I always check http://www.nwa.com and / or airtran website for the tickets and for the last 3 - 4 travels http://www.nwa.com and airtran had same prices or better in some cases compared to http://www.priceline.com and websites available on the internet. But I have to say, if you have flexibility in your travel dates and dont care about stops then I would say http://www.Priceline.com name your price is the best option. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Hello there! When vacation time rolls around, I spend hours, sometimes days, looking for the best rates. After using a variety of websites, I have finally been able to narrow it down to 3 favorites.

http://www.mobissimo.com/search_airfare.php is a great search engine. They pull prices directly from most airlines, and also compares prices to Priceline, CheapoAir, Hotwire, Orbitz and Expedia. Very convenient!

http://www.airfarewatchdog.com/ has proven to be very helpful as well. However, this one works a little different. On Airfare Watchdog, they tell you the best deals flying out of your home airport. This works out well when you want to go somewhere, but can't decide WHERE you want to go.

Also, every traveler should download the Ding! software from Southwest. They will send you notifications whenever a good deal pops up for your selected airport. I have seen some amazing deals come through Ding! The software can be downloaded at: http://www.southwest.com.

There are many places that help with planning a trip and finding cheap airline tickets.  If you purchase your tickets months in advance then you can get a cheaper price for them also if flights that have transfers are cheaper than straight flights.  A few websites you could use are http://www.travelocity.com, http://www.orbitz.com, and http://www.expedia.com.  I hope this helped you out.   Oh oops.  Yeah I use travelocity a lot. They seem to have really cheaper prices for the whole package: airlin flights, hotels, and car rentals.  So I would go check there first.
