Do I ever wish you were shopping with me at our local CVS last Saturday. They had many items including Christmas trees for a whopping 90% off. I don't think the largest was over $10. Barring cutting your own, here are some ideas that I hope will be within your budget. If you'd like a fresh tree or even if you'd like to send it to someone else, Hammacher Schlemmer has a solution. They will deliver a seven foot tree the week you specify. Excellent for loved one far away and perfectly acceptable for those close by as well. Another way to get a cheap seven foot Christmas tree is to try craigslist. If you happen to live near North Sacramento, CA, it's only $20. Your local prices and availability may vary. Or you might get lucky at a local garage sale. A more sure alternative would be to order an artificial tree to be shipped where you want it.
