I have one of the Homedics spas shown below, and it's really great! All you do is put the bath mat in the bottom of your tub, and then the controls go on the outside. Here's the description of this item from amazon.com: Fitting the soft mat of this unit into any bathtub by running the flexible hose from the control unit into the water instantly converts the tub into a bubble-massage spa. The 47-by-14-inch mat, made of PVC plastic, adheres firmly to the tub with suction cups and fills with air to cushion the body. The 14-foot hose, which attaches to the tub with a suction cup, delivers bubbles on command with 600 watts of power. Using either the LED-illuminated touch pad on the control unit or the cordless remote control, massage duration can be selected (15, 30, or 60 minutes) as well as the massage strength (high, medium, or low), the bubble speed (high, medium, or low), and either steady bubbles or one of three variable bubble patterns. The water-resistant remote control operates with two 3-volt batteries (which are included) and fits into a holder that adheres to wall or tub with a suction cup. The control unit's power cord is 14 feet long. The spa carries a two-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack And what does that all mean? It means that for under $70, you can have a bathtub bubbler that will make you feel like you've installed a fancy-schmantzy whirlpool in your tub for a lot more money. Just make sure you lock the door and light lots of candles...enjoy the luxury!

You can buy whirlpools or spas for $2000.00 for the insert into your tub or you can go for a cheaper model. The Homedics is a great item that you put on the bottom of your tub to turn it into a spa. The best for the price is the spa that inserts in the tub listed for $155.00
