What would be something cool and cheap to do for 14 year old pool party?

I recently threw a pool party for my younger cousins, and they absolutely loved it.  Basically you just go to Party America, pick a theme like Hannah Montana for girls or Transfomers for boys or something, and get all the matching plates/ forks/ spoons/ cups to go with the theme.  The food can just be chips and salsa, or something real cheap. Then just go to Walmart, and just buy a bunch of floaties.  Kids love those things, plus it makes the swimming environment safe. Then add music, and it's a party! Good luck.   Oh yeah... you can throw the party for like ten plus kids, all for under $30. =)

Kids love music and food.The safest way to have a poolside event is keeping down to decorations and good food.I was thinking about a musically themed event but karaoke could be dangerous by the water. It depends on the ages of the kids to.I found a couple of fun ways to do it-
Mexican Fiesta
This is a fun theme that will have even the Mayans jealous they weren’t invited. The food is the easiest part. Serve grilled fajitas, nacho chips, salsa and guacamole. Serve chilled Mexican beverages with a fresh lime. Hang a piñata filled with candy for blind-folded guests to take a swing at with a stick. Decorate with Mexican blankets and hats. Play Salsa and Meringue music and give your guests a quick dance lesson. Olé!  or Christmas In July
Celebrate the holiday season again, in July! Thread white Christmas lights through tree branches. Use ornaments to decorate the table. Play holiday carols and have Santa (in shorts and sunglasses) make a special appearance. Serve traditional holiday treats and give everyone a red & white stocking filled with sunscreen, an inflatable beach ball, plastic sunglasses, etc. Barbeque chicken and serve with cranberry sauce and stuffing.
