I am a big GPS-enthusiast, and think that a GPS is one of the best investments any driver could have. I took weeks to research the best GPS for the price, and finally decided the the Magellan Maestro 4250. The best thing about this is that it voice prompts you not just to turn right or left, but most importantly it voice prompts you the STREET NAME. So many gps systems only tell you to go right or left in say, 500 ft, but never say the name of the street. It's so dangerous to have to keep looking at your GPS, and the Magellan is super-easy to use and understand. If you want a little more complicated GPS system but is just as great, the Nuvi is probably one of the best and more popular (although I prefer the Magellan). I personally suggest that whatever GPS you get, always get the wide-screen. The wide screen is so much easier to navigate and to view and the normal screens. Good luck.
