What kind of chef's knife does Giada DeLaurentis use on her show? What brand knife?

It is a Japanese brand called Global. They are very light and easy to handle, but also extremely sharp, please be careful if you buy them! Also, they can not be sharpened with a German or American knife sharpener, as the tip of the blade is sharpened at a different angle then German knives. You need to either use a honing stone or buy a special sharpener to sharpen them, or you could wreck them by sharpening them at the wrong angle. On Amazon: http://tinyurl.com

She also has a whole kitchen section of items that are really worth taking a look at so when you get a chance take a look some really nice items in bakeware & pans.
