If you are looking for a high resolution video player, The Samsung YP-2P has a very good review and resolution of 480 x 272. It has a user rateing of 4 stars on http://www.cnet.com.
As well it is capable of connecting to the internet via USB or bluetooth. It is touch screen which it great as well so your screen does not get sacrificed for navigation buttons. Also a great feature is that it is 8gb of storage space. The Samsung is very affordable with a retail price of $89.95.
If you are looking for more storage space I would go with the Ipod classic where as it has 120 gs lot's of space for your videos. Retail price around $200.00- $250.00.
