If the laptop is to be used at school you will need to check with the school to see if their are any software or hardware requirements in order to be compatable with the schools systems.

- Is a anti virus program already installed? (With more then a 30 - 90 day trial is nice too!)
- Do you need a laptop with a numeric keypad? For a business, math or science student this could be especially helpful.
- If the laptop is being carried to and from school, how much does it weigh? School books already weigh a ton, you don't want to weigh the student down more then you have to with the laptop.
