What is better? Kenmore or GE dishwasher. Any recommendions on a good one?

The best review of the Samsung WF218ANW comes from http://www.ConsumerReports.org which includes the washer in its latest test of 75 front- and top-loading washing machines. http://www.TheGreenGuide.com a website devoted to eco-friendly products, doesn't personally test the washer, but they recommend it based on its efficiency. The washer also attracts a good number of user reviews at Lowe, BestBuy, and a handful of reviews can be found at Viewpoints and Epinions. Cost $500

Frigidaire Gallery GLTF2940FS

Many front-loading washing machines under $800 are plagued with reliability complaints, but the Frigidaire GLTF2940FS performs better than most. It's recommended in one independent test and it gets generally good user reviews. The 3.5-cubic-foot washer is Energy Star certified and it has five wash cycles and a maximum spin speed of 1,050 rpm. Washing performance and energy efficiency are both high points in a recent test, and users say the control panel is easy to use. The fast spin speed also gets good reviews, with owners saying it leaves laundry nearly dry. The main complaint from users is that water can build up in its rubber door seal, which can lead to mold and musty odors. In addition, we saw multiple reports that the washer has frequent breakdowns-- its spin cycle can become overloaded easily. Cost: $559

The Samsung WF448AAW is among the most highly rated front-loading washers in professional tests, and owners appear to be equally impressed with this washing machine's performance. It has a large 4.5-cubic-foot capacity and includes an assortment of features including steam washing, vibration-reduction technology and sound dampening. Cost: $1300

In general, front-loading washing machines are preferred to top loaders because they are more energy efficient and have better washing performance. However, the Maytag Bravos MVWB750WQ, a top loader with a very large 5.0-cubic-foot capacity, gets very good reviews and few reliability complaints. It comes in red, black or white, and it has 13 wash cycles. The Maytag Bravos washer gets excellent scores in one independent test of top-loading washing machines, and owners say the washer is quiet and a great value, since you can fit so much laundry into one load. However, multiple reviewers complain that the washer is tough on laundry. According to these owners, clothing can easily become trapped in the impeller, which pushes laundry throughout the washing tub, causing tears and wrinkles. Cost $900

Both of those brands are pretty much equal with reviews.  Either would be a good buy!  Sears has a black Kenmore dishwasher selling for $559.99
