What is a good hair thinning product that will really work? my boyfriend is 26 years old and going pretty thin, its on the top of his head, it looks like his receding hairline is going to go way back, I hope you know what I'm talking about.. it's hard to describe. Anyway I've heard of using horse shampoo? Anyone else know of any products that are proven to work? Thanks

There is no "cure" for hair loss; however, there are many shampoos, drugs, and topical hair loss remedies available today.  Number one product is Rogaine.  This is known to even grow new hairs.  Another solution is Progaine that is a shampoo made by Rogaine.  Another thing to consider is Follicare.  You can buy different size kits of hair products to help.

Hope[e this helps your boyfriend and thank you from Imshopping!

I have used Mane N Tail horse shampoo for my horse, as well as myself. Although this shampoo and conditioner give your hair volume and shine with a thicker appearance, I don't think it actually makes the hair thicker, nor does it grow hair. Your boyfriend's doctor may be able to prescribe a prescription medication that grows hair in the form of Minoxidil. It is very effective in regrowing lost hair and stimulating hair follicles. His doctor can discuss benefits and risks of this medication.

You can use any shampoo based on olive oil. This will do miracles for your hair. Always try to buy natural based products.

I would recommend your boyfriend investing in Virgin Coconut Oil which is fantastic for thinning hair as well as many other health benefits.  You can purchase it online and it is not expensive, but it really does work for thinning hair.  You can apply a small amount and leave on overnight, the oil will open and stimulate the hair follicles.  It definitely works and I use it myself.  Good luck.

Nioxin shampoo and conditioner wok pretty well in reducing thinning. They are a little pricey but worth it.
You ca use it daily and you will see the improvements within a month.

Hope this helps.

Hi  with the Aloe Vera you can just go ahead and apply it to the scalp leave it on the scalp for about 30 minutes. Now Aloe Vera hair gels should be applied for at minimum of two to three months before any really positive results can be seen. During this time, dead hair follicles will continue to fall out but should be replaced by new hair growth which has been stimulated by the hair gel. The hair should become thicker and healthier. Now about the shampoo if you combine the Aloe vera with other hair growing products like just for men or rogaine shampoo that works really well or you can make your own shampoo which I would say is the best! you do this by Make an aloe vera shampoo. When combined with wheat germ oil and coconut milk, aloe vera gel makes a shampoo to promote hair growth. Use the shampoo as often as you wash your hair. I hope this was helpful to you, If you have anymore questions Ill be more then happy to answer!
Thanks,
Krista

Hi i am kind of confused by your question, do you want a hair thinning product or a product to stop his thinning? If you are looking for products to stop his thinning horse shampoo really only works to make you hair appear to be thicker. My dad who fought off early receding hairlines and male pattern baldness used aloe vera on his head. I know what your thinking yeah right but it truly does work it stimulates the hair follicoles and your hair grows! Now if what you are looking for is to thin the hair to be honest I have not came across any products, my suggestion would be to go ahead and shave his head, it is a good look for some guys =) I hope this helped you.
