What info do you have on the H2O Mop Ultra as advertised on TV. It is a steam cleaner.

There are several Steam Mops on the market for you to choose from. SteamBoy is rated amoung the best, unlike the As Seen on TV H2O Mop, which has had consistantly poor ratings. Why?
There are only 2 differences between our SteamBoy T1 model and the H2O Mop, which are as follows:
1.) SteamBoy main inside unit - the pump, is made in Italy; H2O pump made in China
2.) SteamBoy has a water filter to eliminate chemicals in the tap water you use, preventing lime build-up. H2O Mop has no filter.
We used to carry the H2O Mop, but due to poor customer feed-back and returns we switched to the SteamBoy a few mos. ago - It's been a Great Success!

I bought this product and originally loved it until the handle broke.  I sent it back since I purchased through HSN and they replaced it and the handle broke again for the 2nd time.  It would be a great product if the handle didnt keep breaking!!! Mary

I watched this infommercial on tv and decided this is what I needed for the hardwood floors that are in my whole house.  I purchased it and took advantage of the 3 payments.  First payment of around $60. some dollars and then two payments of $33.00.  Seemed like a deal.  The mop arrived, we put it together and the third time I used this mop I bumped the mop head against my table leg in the dining room and it broke, in the plastic, above the mop head.  I just got off the phone with those fine customer service reps at Thane Products and no one will replace my mop handle unless I send $72.00 for a new one.  I can't imagine that a bump against the table could cause this to break, I'm not exactly a power mopper.  To me this is an example of poor quality and I'm stuck with this product, with no one to help me get it replaced.  They say there is a one year warranty, but don't believe it.  If you can purchase a similar product from another company, I would and not buy the Ultra Mop from Thane Products.

I'm trying to get to as many of these review sites that I can, to help save someone else from buying this product.

Good afternoon! The minute that I saw the H20 mop on tv i bought it. I have a little steamer that I used to clean bathtubs and everything in the kitchen so I dont have to use any chemicals in my house. I love steaming anything and when I saw something that would take care of my floors as well I was happy! I love this product. It takes a few minutes to heat up but I love that it is so easy to use, makes your house just feel clean without chemical smells and the "sock" that goes over the steamer, cleaning part itself is great since you can just throw it in the washer when your done. I do not have experience with the H2O Mop ultra.  However, I am happy to share my reviews of another similar product.

I really like my Shark Steam Mop.  It heats up really fast and is light weight and easy to use.  I bought it especially because of my Maltese dog who likes to lick all the floors.  Since it uses only water/steam it is safe for her to lick.

The first couple of times I used the steamer it was a little hard to glide across the floor, due to the cleaner & dirt buildup.  However, it now is easy to clean my floors as I have not had to use anything on it in a long time.

I would definitely buy it again.

This question is in regards to the H2O Mop Ultra yet someone assumed it is the same as the Steamboy. They are different products and companies. Does anyone have any comparisons on these two steam cleaners. I have narrowed it down to these two mops but I am not sure which is the best. I bought the shark but I am taking it back because it is very flimsy.

The shark steam mop is great. No harmful chemicals and very lightweight. Works great.

is it very effective on carpets

I have seen mostly good things about this Mop, customers seam to be very happy. Like with most products, you can never make everybody 100% happy. But for the most it is a good product!
