What are the reviews on the Emerson plasma?

Walmart are currently selling an Emerson 42" Plasma 720p 60 Hz Plasma for $499. While this TV is HD, it is not full HD, which is 1080p.
Customers who have bought this TV are really liking it. They are saying that is has great picture quality and picks of loads of channels. However, since it is new, there is no info on how well is lasts over the years. It is not a high end plasma and was just brought into Wal-Mart coming up to Christmas. They offer a 3 year extended warrenty, which may be worth considering. For a low end, 'cheap' plasma it is a good TV. The LCD versions of the Emerson have average reviews, ie not the best, but not the worst.
The highest rated 42" plasma TVs are (however, these are much more expensive):
Panasonic TC-P42S1 42" Plasma TV 1080p
Samsung PN42B450 42" Plasma TV 720p
