Is it not a huge deal to try to decide what phone to buy?  I have been needing a new cell for quite a while and I keep reviewing and reviewing trying to decide which one is the best!  I have the reviewed these two phones and can tell you what they say!

The TMobile G1:

The good: The T-Mobile G1 features a full QWERTY keyboard, 3G support, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth. The Google Android operating system offers good integration with Google applications as well as access to the Amazon MP3 Store and YouTube. As more applications become available, the G1 will also become a more powerful smartphone for all types of users.

The bad: The G1 doesn't include a standard heaphone jack and lacks Microsoft Exchange support. There are some annoying design quirks that make the smartphone uncomfortable to hold and difficult to use. You can't save downloaded applications to a memory card. Speakerphone quality wasn't the greatest.

The bottom line: While we're not in love with the design and would have liked some additional features, the real beauty of the T-Mobile G1 is the Google Android platform, as it has the potential to make smartphones more personal and powerful. That said, it's not quite there yet, so for now, the G1 is best suited for early adopters and gadget hounds, rather than consumers and business users.

TMobile MyTouch:

The good: The T-Mobile MyTouch 3G has a sleek, attractive design with a gorgeous display, tactile controls, and an easy-to-use, customizable interface. Stereo Bluetooth and Outlook e-mail syncing are standard features, and call and data performance are excellent.

The bad: The T-Mobile MyTouch 3G lacks important features like a standard 3.5-millimeter headset jack, a file manager, and camera-editing options. Video quality is uneven, and the HTML browser interface and virtual keyboard have their flaws. Also, it doesn't support Outlook calendar and contacts syncing.

The bottom line: With the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G, the Google Android OS gets a much-needed boost. A few complaints remain, and some users may bemoan the lack of a physical keyboard, but we approve of its eye-catching design and interface, improved features, and satisfying performance.

Hope this helps you make a decision on which phone best meets your needs.  Thanks for using http://www.IMShopping.com

That's a great question!
I recently started looking at the two options as I need a new phone and love my T-Mobile service.
The reviews for the G1 are pretty good. It gets a 4 star rating overall from several sites.
Positives include: a full QWERTY keyboard, 3G support, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth. The Google Android operating system offers good integration with Google applications as well as access to the Amazon MP3 Store and YouTube.
The Bad (and this is minimal): Its Clunky and heavy; no 3.5mm headphone jack; short battery life for music playback.
However this is the first Android operating system, so its not too bad overall.
Take a look at the Videos associated with this phone.

The T Mobile Mytouch wins hands down!

The G1- Texting is 10/10

Sound quality from the speaker is o....k and the headset is 'meh' not too bad.

Battery life is debatable

Mytouch 3G - Waaaaaaaay faster than the G1. The speed difference in which you can search the web is like dial-up to cable.
