Best sheets is more than just thread count it is also how soft they are & durable after washing. If you go with a real high thread count they actually might be too warm to sleep under. ; )
So here are the best sheets in these categories, you can click on each to get better details about each of them!
Reviews say Sealy Best Fit sheets are a good choice if your mattress is hard to fit. They are designed to work with mattresses from 7 to 20 inches deep, and owner reviews say they'll still fit after multiple runs through the washing machine and dryer.
Most reviews say natural fibers "breathe" best and that a thread count between 200 and 400 per square inch indicates a good cotton sheet. Sealy Best Fit 400 Thread Count Cotton Sateen sheets fit right in that thread-count range and come in five colors.
Sateen sheets are softer than percale sheets, but they are more prone to snagging and pilling and are not as crisp. Most reviews of Sealy Best Fit 400 Thread Count Sateen sheets are extremely positive, but critics say that sateen sheets in general are not especially durable. If you like crisp cotton sheets, reviews recommend Garnet Hill Signature Scalloped Percale sheets (*est. $145 for a queen set).
