A webcam, much like any other camera needs to have great pixels, needs to be of a quality you trust. I will list some great ones here for you. I don't have any recommendations on what NOT to buy, except do not buy any webcams that will not have a decent warranty, and do not purchse any that are low megapixels for the quality type that you are looking for.
