to susan 7.. thanks for the info on the over the range shelf. my other question is can that shelf be installed under the cabinet which is over the stove?

Congratulations on your new stove! The right appliances make the kitchen fun! In order to work with the shelves from your other question you'll need to measure the distance from the top of the planned mounted spot for the shelf to the bottom of the cabinet over the stove. Does this still leave you enough room to use it for your purposes? (Would your items fit?) Is for a Microwave? Make sure you have enough clearnace to use all of your pots and pans on the stove top as well If so, then you can mount one of them and enjoy!  We actually replaced our hood with a vented microwave so it is actually flush to the cabinet above the stove. This might be an option for you to consider as well.


If it does not give you enough clearance to be useful, and it's for something other than a maicrowave you may want to look at some other space extenders / savers for inside your cabinets. I love the shelves that let you "split" the taller cabinets into two usable spaces. I recently added two lazy susans to my cabinets and they made a huge difference. I've also wanted to add a "slide out" shelf for under the sink! That's the next project.
