I am searching for mainly strategy or build your own city type games. For example The Guild 2 is $9.99 at gamestop.com but they don't have it available.

Hi there. I can recommend some fun strategic or build your own city type of games. Rise of Nations, lots of my friends love this game. Rise of Nations combines the concepts of Civilization with the game play of Age of Empires. You can recruit different soldiers from all around the world. It is an intriguing game to watch.
How about Rome: Total War? It rated well with people wanting a strategic game. As many reviewers have pointed out in different gaming magazines, "It's the best game yet." It has wonderful 3D graphics that make the battles better than ever.
The last one I recommend is Medieval II: Total War. With it's beautiful graphics, it makes this game the most seductive game in the Middle Ages yet. It is quite a lot to take in.
