Hello and thanks for your question!
I tried to review what current graphics card your desktop carries but I couldn't find a review. However, I did find on Amazon a list of supported graphics cards so that the Sims game will work at its best. I'll provide 3 options here for you to choose from but will recommend only one.
I researched some graphics card that you could use and they should be supported by XP. I also wasn't able to determine if your desktop is 32-bit or 64-bit and that will make a difference too. Check your system tools to determine your computer specs.
Of all these I recommend the Jaton graphic card. I'm not sure what bit system it supports but you get Nvidia quality with "1 x vga - 15 pin hd d-sub (hd-15) ª 1 x s-video output - 4 pin mini-din ª 1 x composite video output - rca" as a part of this card. The only downside is that Office Depot lists it as being non-returnable however it is supported by Windows XP.
The other two graphics cards are 64 bits. Also, these cards may or may not be on the list shown from Amazon however i searched for them based on 128mb being the minimum standard needed in a graphics card. But these also support Windows XP (whether this also encompasses XP SP2 is another question as well). Be sure to contact support of the site you're buying from before making a final purchase if you have any questions.
I hope this helps!
