I need a new printer. Scratch that, I WANT a new printer but don't know which one to buy. Leaning towards an Epson though I have Canon now

The best general purpose printer is actually a Canon. The Pixma iP4600 to be exact. If you are just handling lots of text style printing then this one is the one for you. It can handle photo printing but not an excessive amount. If it is just daily use then this one is great.
For photo printing you want either the Kodak, which has a great reputation for best ink usage, or a Canon again.
The Epson are fine and so are the HP if you just want a budget printer but overall you pay as much for the ink as you did for the original printer.
