Looking for a pair of jeans. Just need some ideas on styles and brands that would work for someone who needs to fit them around her butt and thighs, without having that huge gap in the back at your waist.

I have a larger butt and thighs, with a smaller waist. I have struggled to find jeans that fit my whole life, so I know what you're going through. Several years back I found the Lee perfect fit jean which took away all my problems, and now they even make a Lee no-gap Jean. These are made to fit our body type perfectly, I know once you try these on you will fall in love. I usually purchase mine at Kohl's, but you can find them at most department stores as well, like JcPenney's or Sears.

On a side note, I have also found that trouser jeans fit me better as well. They are cute flow away from your leg, so you can get a size that fits in the waist while still being flattering to your butt and thighs.

I have struggled with this problem too. A couple of days ago I saw the perfect jeans for this body type on Oprah. These jeans are made by Cookie Johnson. She stated that for years she struggled to find the perfect jeans to fit her body type so finally she decided that it was time for her to make some for herself.

Normally, they are quite expensive. However, you might want to try http://www.overstock.com or http://www.ebay.com to find them at a discounted price. I hope this helps!!

I would definitely try Gap's Long & Lean style.  They have a tiny bit of stretch, but by no means look like 80's stretch jeans and they seem to work on evey body type.  My sister who has an hourglass shape introduced me to them, and they look as good on me (I'm more of an apple) as they do on her.

They come in a variety of colors at regular GAP stores and online, but if you have a GAP Outlet near you they usually have older versions (different shades, etc) at a lower price.

i have this same problem with jeans that have no stretch in them. its hard not to keep them up or on your waist withour a belt, but a belt is so annoying.  i think its just because our hips our bigger in comparison to our waists. so if the pants fit everywhere else. theyll be too big in the waist. I finally found a brand that fits me perfect. Lee Women's No-Gap  jeans.
There are jeans out there for us but it just takes a while to find them.
