My modem needs to be in the other room my internet needs to be wireless. I am getting a wireless modem but want a decent (but affordable) network adapter. \

There are many network adapters to choose from that are affordable, mostly starting from about $30 and going up. Some common brands are Iogear, Linksys, Belkin, and D-Link. I have a Belkin, which works for me in price and operation.
