I would first check out ebay. Search for hp 2000 series motherboard as any would work. If you cant find one, the next best place would be http://www.getpartsonline.com. You could probably pick one up from them for less than $100 refurbished. As for a graphics card, I would check your local craigslist computer listings as these types of things are listed all the time. Otherwise ebay is a good bet or http://www.PCmall.com.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Hello and thanks for your question!
Soooo, you have the Pavilion. From the reviews I've read this was suppose to be a beast of a computer for the standard consumer but has a Jekyll/Hyde personality after the first year. Getting a motherboard is contingent on whether you want to keep your current CPU, if the motherboard is compatible, whether you want the graphics card to be integrated into the mother board already AND if you plan to install it all yourself.
First things first. Your bus from the CPU is 1600Mhz tops. The motherboard you get shouldn't be more than this. Or rather that is what I recommend. Your CPU is AMD so I searched for a qualifying motherboard based off that as well. Newegg, a site I often venture to, didn't have a motherboard available that would seem to work with your processor. I found two sites selling a motherboard that seems to be just like the one that was already in the computer.
As far as the graphics card goes it can only go up to 1071mb. The problem right now is that Geforce is the shizz when it comes to graphic cards. You really can't update the graphics without updating the motherboard. You can't update the motherboard without upgrading the CPU. If one thing is out of sync then the height of your frustration will be out of this world. My recommendation is to stick with trading out the motherboard for the same thing and if you really wish to upgrade then a new computer is a question you may want to ask yourself. Also when going through the process of changing your motherboard, do be careful. The CPU might be the brain but the motherboard is the heart.
I hope this helps if even a little. Check out Make Use Of article about computer parts and upgrading. They are amazing! And it's a great read.
