Sales of Michael Jackson albums and memorabilia jumped after his death and are expected to stay high for a little while, or at least while his death is still in the headlines. However, collectors expecting to make a bundle out of their old Michael Jackson albums really won't see that return, according to experts.
If you have the albums now, and you're not sentimentally attached to them, you should go ahead and sell them now while the prices are high, because they're expected to dip back down to what they were sold at before Jackson's death.
I've attached some of the items that are currently being sold on ebay to give you an idea about the value, in case you're wanting to make some sales.
I'm sure you're not expecting to get the $10 million one guy is seeking for an autograph, but you may be able to get some nice spending money from that dusty copy of Thriller.
While copies of Thriller went up over $200 right after the death, they're back down to around $30 or so, just like Bad is. You'll see people on ebay trying to sell them for more, but Thriller and Bad, just like all his albums, sold in the thousands back in the day and they're not very rare now.
