According to the office USLMRA Racing Association handbook, it states thateEvents are open to all self-propelled rotary or reel style riding lawn mowers. They also say that the mower must originally have been designed and sold commercially to mow lawn and that it must remain suitable for lawn cutting, apart from the modifications permitted in their official handbook. From the research gathered it appears that you can use your regular mower with approved modifications per their rules. Personally I think it would be a blast to hop our Snapper mower and race across the yard in record time and be done with the yard work.
