Is there any way to put a WMV file on a Sony digital camera, then use the digital camera to watch it on the TV? Or do I need to buy a product to connect my computer directly to the TV?

Watching movies on a standard digital camera varies from manufacturer to manufacturer and the ease with which movies and episodes of TV shows can be enjoyed on a tiny screen varies as well. The greatest benefit for being able to watch video on a digital camera perhaps comes when standing in line at the post office or a theme park so it may be worthwhile even when it does require a bit more trouble.

Things You'll Need:
* Digital camera Memory storage card Video ripping software Video conversion software
1.Copy an .avi file to whatever specific memory card your digital camera uses: SD, MicroSD, Memory Stick. Many digital cameras allow you to watch an .avi or .mov video file without any extra effort, although you may need to use a software program to convert a movie file to one of these formats.
2.Install a software program that rips the contents of your DVD. What ripping essentially does is convert the signals on the DVD into a usable file that can be transferred to your memory card. In this way, you can actually watch the contents of your favorite DVDs on your digital camera.
3.Convert .avi, .mov, .wmv and other video files into a type of movie file that is encoded properly for playback on a digital camera. The problem with watching movie files on many digital cameras that work perfectly fine on other devices is that the cameras have a proprietary encoding system that does not recognize those standard movie files. A software program like Digital Camera Media Studio is ideal for overriding the encoding problems associated with Sony and Casio brand digital cameras.
4.Connect the cable that comes with the digital camera that allows it to be connected to a TV. This connection is typically used to allow users to view the digital photos on a much larger screen, but if you can watch a movie on the digital camera, you can in most cases now watch movies on the TV as well.
