Hello there. Good question, I have a pomeranian and it can be quite the hastle to cut her nails at times. Personally I use the Bamboo 3-in-1 Guillotine Nail Trimmer, Styptic, and File for Cats and Dogs. It's worked pretty well. The styptic is in case you case a little too close and it's to stop any blood, and the file will help to smooth the nail after you cut their nails. It's pretty simple to use in my opinion. There's something also similar the Master Grooming tool, it's just oriented a little different but with the same technique of cutting nails. And you've probably heard of Pedipaws which is advertised a lot on TV, it's like an automated file so you just filed your pet's nails with it and not have to deal with the cutting. I've heard mixed reviews about it personally, but if you want you can give it a try. Hope you find something that works for both you and your cat.
