I want to buy a GPS but I'm not sure what to get. Is there a brand that is better than the others or are they all basically the same? I'd like to get one that isn't insanely expensive but I want it to be a good one. And what kind of features do different

I have a Garmin and I love it. I am amazed at the abuse it has taken over the last 4 years and it just keeps working. So I recommend first hand, the Garmin.
I live in Phoenix where we have extreme temperatures and it sits in my window and takes all that abuse. I have had no problems with it whatsoever.
