I want record matches with just a normal PC web cam. If I do record it from my computer(the web cam will be pretty close to the TV screen) what kind of quality will I get and will I be able to see anything?

Most likely not a good quality picture at all! You can try and see what you think, you can always return the webcam if it isn't what you want! One option is the Microsoft Lifecam Cinema webcam selling for $53.52
There is also the Hercules Dualpix webcam selling for $24.84
