I want for a good set of in-ear headphones. i want the best sound quality possible i need strong bass but it has to be well balanced with the highs. my price range is around $100.

Hi, great question.  It's always important to find comfortable headphones with high quality and at a decent price.  I'm an audiophile so I'm always looking for good priced high quality headphones.  Good brands are Sennheiser makes good high quality headphones that have noise-cancellation as well so you can enjoy your music at it's best.  I've been meaning to get these for my girlfriend the fit in your price range as well.  It also comes in white and pink as well and the buds come in 3 different sizes so you can get the perfect fit.  Bose is another popular brand for high quality headphones with great bass, the price is a bit higher but if you search aaround you can some decent deals.  And Apple also makes pretty good quality headphones that also have a built in mic so you can record if you mp3 allows so.  In my opinion, either Bose or Sennheiser, they are known to be popular for their quality and sound quality and both fit your price range.  The final decision is up to you, I hope you find what you wanted.
