Update - go to the deal extreme page for this product [21577] and click on the link at the bottom. http://www.r4i-sdhc.com.
On the left there is an update R4i English V1.14b.rar NEW that says it is for v1.4 but these must be updated R4 cartridges and this firmware WORKS ! without sticking menus and other crap in as well. Just use Winrar and extract it straight to the micro SD after you have downloaded it. Don't click on USA it takes too long. Don't click on Germany, it comes up in chinese. Click on Italy to download and voila. You're frustrations will be over my friend. I let out an almighty scream when that sucker booted up after 4 hours of downloading, deleting , re-trying.
I started filling in the defective product section but couldn't be bothered taking photo's of the packaging or going to the shops to spend more money on replacement christmas presents.
