Walmart has a rectangle ottoman that you may enjoy. It opens up and can hold games, blankets, or anything you need to keep handy yet out of the way. This one costs just under $80.00.  http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8033837
They also carry a square style. It is, of course, half the size, but does not take up as much room as the rectangle. It costs just under $40.00. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8033843

This one is also a coffee table - http://http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001LMF2HW/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000BJP4I8&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=12APRRS4CSWXY96W4NRB

I actually have one and I really like it. I bought my coffee brown ottoman from Target the other day for  $39.99.  It is a nice, cute place to hide things like game and toys so that your room can look organized. It adds to my living room decor and keeps it from looking messy with all the toys. It should be big enough to hold your board games in. If you want something bigger, you can take a look at the brown faux leather ottoman from Bed, Bath and Beyond for $49.99. This is a fun place to keep your games until you are ready for game night.
