I'm not sure if you are asking how to unlock an sd card or if you are asking how to download from and sd card so I'm going to give you both answers.
If you are trying to unlock it then that's an easy fix. Usually you realize you need to do this when you go to take a picture and the camera reads back "Card Locked". In that case have a look on the side of the card, it has a tiny white strip, it moves up and down, just move it and it will unlock.
If you are trying to download pictures or files from an SD card then that is also a simple fix. Put the card in computer or reader, open the folder, open picasa (or other photo editing software), and drag and drop the sd card. That simple.
