The type of Internet service you will need is called "wireless".  There are three types of wireless service that might be beneficial to you.
  • Home Wireless - Depending on your area and Internet provider, you can have a technician come out to your home and program (1) computer/pc or laptop to work on your connection.

  • Home Network Wireless - Depending on your area Internet provider, you can have a technician come out to your home and program your wirless service to allow multiple computer/pc or laptop access to your wireless service.

  • Laptop Wireless - Companies like Verizon and AT&T provide wireless cards that you can take "On The Go" so that you have wireless service anytime, anyplace.  Its similar to the wireless card that would be connected to a normal residence pc; it has also been compared to the look and style of a "jump drive."
To find out specifics about what type of service is best for you, you will need to contact your local service provider.  If you unsure who that is, you can go Whitefence.  Its a very easy service and all you have to do is provide them with your address and they can find your local service providers for you!

Good Luck!

Hi there.  Thanks for contacting Imshopping.  If you don't want to be connected through the phone you could do it with your local cable company or with satellite.  I don't know much about satellite.  I use DSL through the phone and it's been great and fast.  I have sometimes thought of switching over to cable.  I think it's just as fast.

Here are a couple articles on internet connection.
