Where can I buy some mini led lights to fit in a pair of socks I'm making for my grandson (he's 10).
Details:
1. What I'm looking for is what they use on ladies clothing like at christmas time, it can't be bulky, so the battery pack wouldn't work and the key chain lights won't work either as he'd have to be pushing the buttons all the time. We saw a pair of socks worn by ICarly's brother on television so I'm loom knitting a pair of socks for my grandson for his birthday if I can find the lights.

Thank you for the clarification. I did some more searching and found some other items that might do the trick. The round blinky white lights are smaller than a quarter have a clip on connector.
The decolights come in Fast Flash, Slow Flash or Continuous On. These are meant for balloons but may work for your purpose as well. If you want a smaller flashing set consider premade pins.
The flashing LED necklace comes in rainbow as well as neon colors. They have a great selection of other items that might be just right. (You could take the lights out of their rally towels , at just $1 each they are very affordable)

I always watch ICarly with my little girl. I love Spencer. He is so hilarious. I remember the episode on the socks. He is always making the coolest things. I included some items below that I think may help you. You may also want to search electroluminescent wire on ebay. How about some items that have the flashing led lights built in them. You won't have to worry about the battery packs. You could sew the earrings into the socks! ; )
Or the L.E.D fusion badge flashing necklace just take the parts off you don't need and ta da you have an inexpensive way of adding your flair to them! ; )

The best deal for small lights is actually the 10 pack of key chain lights from Amazon. Super bright LED (22,000 mcd !!!) keychain flashlight with high impact black plastic casing and white light. Uses 2 lithium batteries (CR2016) included.
Make sure they do not get too hot if you are planning on putting them on the inside of a sock.They would be easy to attach (take off the keyring and use the hole) and would only shine if the button is pressed.
If you would like a whole string that stays on continually there is a battery operated. The battery block is rather bulky and may be difficult to incorporate into your socks. I also found several flashing button led lights. They come in various colors, with two magnets to hold on to your, ear, clothes, etc. They start at $.48 each.
