My mother purchased two for her 24' above ground pool a year or so ago.  I came over and helped her install it.  We have experienced no problems like all the others complained about.

The tricks are to:
A) install the collector inline BEFORE the pump (high pressure water coming out of the pump is why they're exploding all these other reviewers).
B) replace the cheap included hoses and fittings with proper pool hoses and fittings from a pool store like Leslies or Pinch-a-penny.
C) if you have anything bigger than a 12' pool, you're gonna have issues with the tiny pipe sizes, which is why we installed two in parallel with a T-fitting before and after so we can maintain the proper amount of net water flow.
D) always use a solar blanket when not enjoying the pool to help hold precious the heat in.

In the end, you get what you pay for.  Don't buy expecting it to outperform a 32x12 roof-mounted solar collector, or expect that your pool will become a hot tub or something.  But for a $200 investment, I'd say it was worth the extra 2 degrees.

First one the rubber plugs on the bottom blew out and leaked at the screws, the second Blew the coils and the 3rd on Blew where the base meet the coils. How can the sell a Product like this. 134 dollars is way to costly for a bad product.

OK..lets talk facts here!!

This product has one major flaw apart from the bad workmanship (Manufactured in China by a company called Starmatrix)

The basic science regarding "low temp soalr collectors" (or traditional pool heaters) is that the power output and heating effect is directly proportional to the area of solar collector. The accepted thinking is that the area of collector required to give any form of realistic heat gain is 50% of the pools surface area. The aquaquick offers a solar area of less than 1m2?? This is maybe sufficient for a baby paddling pool.
If we look at the literture that comes with the product it talks about a 2-3 degree (farenheit) gain over a 2 day period...Now i am confused here because firstly that is am extremely long time to wait for a small gain and secondly the calculation does not take into account that this "heat gain" would be wiped out the first night. what they have done is equate power output in optimal conditions conveniently not factoring in reality i.e. evaporation, night time heat loss, and the natural cooling effect of the wind on any pool.

This product is a black hose pretending to be a solar collector. The ultimate effect has been to try and bring a "green" product to the market and jump on the enviro bandwagon without any real regard for the functionality of the product.
All this product has done has created negative reviews and will quite simply damage the publics view regarding solar heating and its effectiveness....SHAME!!

I personally have been testing these products and others over the past 3 years and if you want to heat your pool buy a collector that offers some area of collector.
The most effective i have seen for the intex type of pools is a product from Sweden called El Niño

All the best Barry

Dont buy it. Installed it at the start of the swimming season. Lasted 2 weeks before it leaked. If running at the time of leak or rupture, it will cause you to lose massive amounts of water if not caught in time

If you are looking for an economical AND green way to heat your swimming pool, this is a great device! It works with solar power, rather than electricity, and will save you up to $100 per month from your pool's heating costs! The Aqua Quik can increase your pool's temperature by using the sun's power quickly..it will go up by 5 degrees in less than two hours.
If you link together more than one of these nifty little devices, your pool will warm up even more quickly.

I don't own a pool, but if I did, I think it makes great sense to pay one cost for something and then never have to pay another cost associated with it again. Why pay for power when there's plenty of power coming for free from the sun!

These are $150 or so each, and the power you save in two months over an electric heater will pay for it. I can't see where you can go wrong with this purchase.

These can range in price, and you can often find them on sale. Sam's Club, if you have a card, has them for only $117!

AquaQuik A/G Solar Pool Heaters save energy and money by collecting the sun's rays and converting them to heat, keeping your pool warm and comfortable. AquaQuick’s unique dome design allows for better solar heat transfer, without taking up the yard space required for conventional solar panels. Unfortunately 75% of the people who have purchased would NOT recommend it to their friends.  Not a very promising statistic.

Aqua quick solar pool heater...............  not quite profected yet...... the hoses are too small ( 1 inch ) not able to find fitting to keep hose from falling off ( keep on low and double clamp) The legs should be adjustable, you kind of stuck with water going in to the left and leaving to the left. If you could switch the tilted legs the other side, you could use water going in from and out to the right (fix this). Make the incoming and outgoing hoses for 1 1-2 and 1 1/4 using the common male PVC fitting. You would have the best product on the market. I bought 2..... one broke, because wife thinks if you put on high, the water will heat  faster (impatient woman). The other one is awsome, but I am afraid to move it. BRIAN

I ordered two. Within the fist minute  - the seal on one opened and flooded my yard. Left one on, refilled the pool, and turned the pump on. One hour later my yard was flooded..the hose popped off. Decided to wait unitl the replacement was sent too me to hooked them up. One week later it arrived. I hooked them up, started the pump and the seam on the replacement leaked after one minute. I bought double clamps so hoses would not popp off, I left the one on, and it worked for about 1/2 hour and then flooded my yard. The pressure from the pump expanded the mold and then cracked. I am done and will ask for a refund tomorrow.

Yes, I've now had three of them because of all the issues with them. Poorly constructed. The manufacturer is aware of the issue of the seal popping and is in the process of fixing it but until they can get them in and out to their distributors, I would not purchase one. You will have nothing but headaches and drained pools because when it bursts, if you aren't aware of it, the pump will continue to push water out through it and drain it down to the skimmer. Absolutely can not recommend this product although the concept is great. I will say though, that Game, the manufacturer, has been extremely helpful through all of this fiasco!

I have had nothing but problems with it. the hoses keep popping off, and if they are not popping off they are leaking. I paid 200.00 to get water in my pool because I have a well, and Ive had to use my well to add water at least a dozen times now. so whether it accually heats the pool I have no idea. My husband has considered gluing the hoses on, I don't know if that will help. I have a 21 ft pool, and they reccomend having 3 hooked up to my pool, I cant imagine 12 hoses popping off. I cant stand having 3. It is the pump strength that is causing it, but I know all the pumps they sell now are powerful. I cant wait to read maybe how other people fixed this problem. I know a whole lot of people have had the same problem.

Trying to find some reviews on this product is difficult when theirs not many for the Aqua Quick Solar Pool Heater. I bought this for my mother, and she loves everything about it. It's very small compared to her other pool heater she had and eliminates pool heating costs. This product is very Eco-friendly and very simple to install. My mom isn't very good with setting things up but she was able to follow the instructions and install this all by herself. The Solar Pool Heater only depends on the pool water and the sun to help generate the heating of the pool. If you have a bit larger pool than normal, you might need to invest in more than http://www.one.It will also work with your existing pump so you wont have to purchase any additional pumps.

We purchased the Aqua Quik and have found it to be excellent. I wish we knew of it earlier, it has been wonderful. This is brand new, also it takes up no space in your backyard. AquaQuik A/G Solar Pool Heaters save energy and money by collecting the sun's rays and converting them to heat, keeping your pool warm and comfortable. AquaQuick’s dome design allows for better solar heat transfer, without taking up the yard space required by solar panels. Best of all, AquaQuik Solar Heaters easily install in line with your existing equipment. Very easy to use and to install. Go ahead and get a jump on your neighbors like we did and get the Aqua Quik. As of right now the system averages about 199.00. Have fun in the heated pool!
