There are some great places online to get halloween costumes! Try http://www.halloweenexpress.com they have a large selection. Also http://www.anytimecostumes.com has some very fun ideas and lots of costumes.
Oriental traders is also a great site for halloween costumes and accessories.
If you need something quick you could also try your local Target or any other department store. They will have a halloween section.

I bought our costumes this year at Party City. We happen to have one in town, but you can also purchase online at http://www.partycity.com/. They have a very large selection and you cannot beat the prices. Below is what we chose. They can ship very quickly and inexpensively

Even at 31, this is STILL my favorite "holiday" of the year! And not only because of my because children, but also because it gives me a chance to be a big ole kid!
I don't know where you are located, but we have a great place here in Hollywood, CA called of course, "Hollywood Toys and Costumes". It is certainily the one stop shop to get all your Halloween goodies. It's brilliant and they have everything! Some people even go in just to check out the store cause they are super decked out at this time of year. Here are some items you can find at their online shop:
