From my research the Garmin chooses a slightly faster route, provides more detailed navigation instructions, and is also the only GPS to announce what side of the street our destination address is on. The TomTom however, uses yards instead of feet but has a The widescreen display is a generous 4.3 inches of touchscreen delight that provides a wide screen version of maps.
